Rooted in Cape Town, South Africa, NIEN creates comforting homeware products with locally produced material. From mountains to oceans, inspiration is found in the great diversity of the Cape’s natural elements. Weaving in the durability and longevity of veld and fynbos, NIEN products are made to be passed on to the next generation. 

Our founder, Nienke Geldenhuys, is a Cape Town based creative, using a variety of textile mediums in her practice. NIEN was born in 2025 from a dream to create bold, playful and colour-filled textures.
